Menorca is situated in the mediterranean sea in western europe aproximately 34 km north east of Majorca and 120 miles east of Barcelona and is only 48kms long. The northern side of the island is wetter and cooler than the more sheltered southern side where most of the tourist villas and complexes are to be found.
